I have been working on my site for some time now. I have redesigned the site in hopes of making it easier for you the customer! Now I need your help please let me know of what you think about my entire website.

Please start with the home page and work your way to the online store. Please look at the photo gallery and let me know is it easy to navigate? The same for the online store etc. I am asking you the customers and please No ad sites or web site promoters !!! Then please feel free to help me make my site better for you! Oh….. also please order sign since you are here!!!!

I am glad you are here! You must be looking for a carved wood sign? You came to the right place! I will hand route your carved wood sign or use my CNC router. I have been in the business of making signs since I was 16 working for my uncle’s shop. He is a master of hand routing redwood signs and taught me how to make a custom carved sign designed by you. I have developed a method of my own with a touch of his personality!

Although I can’t prove it, but I have made a sign for Bill Engvall and his family! It was a few years back at the Silver Legacy in Reno Nevada! I decided I was going to make a sign for him and I did! As my wife and I went into the show I walked up to the stage and set the sign down and went to my seat. It was not long until Mr. Engvall saw the sign and asked who did this?

I raised my hand and he asked me to stand and thank me! That was it I didn’t take a picture of him holding the sign nor did I take a picture prior to the show. I just wanted to make him a sign and I did! I am telling the truth and I hope you enjoyed my little story Now that you are here take some time in my photo gallery and pick out your sign today!

Custom Woodworking Too!

Along with making wood signs, I dabble in custom woodworking. My main business was wood signs and attending Northern California County fairs. This year I am taking a new direction. I am no longer attending any fairs, well I don’t have any fairs booked! Back to the topic!

I enjoy making wood signs, but I also enjoy woodworking. I have made items from student lap desk to outdoor furniture! Take a peak at some of my work and let me know what you think?!

Apostrophe

When using an apostrophe it is an easy or difficult thing! Many people believe an apostrophe is needed for a sign like, The Smiths. In it’s singular form it is not, the rule for an apostrophe is as follow.

An apostrophe is used to show possession or omission of a letter.

1. Possession, to show ownership for example, The Smith’s House. So in it’s singular form such as The Smiths an apostrophe is not needed. However unless it shows possession.

2. Omission of an letter, for example. it’s, it is or for a sign example The Williams’ instead of adding an extra “S” and an apostrophe is added.

Welcome to my sign shop!

I am hoping this will be the last wood sign shop you will ever need! I primarily use redwood, but can use cedar, pine oak, mahogany, whatever you want for your custom carved wood sign! I engrave each letter deeply for a carved look you will enjoy! I hand rout or I also can use a CNC router to make your wood sign. I have made several hand routed signs over the 31 years in business http://www.rcwoodworksonline.com/SignsGallery/ Each one in my gallery is marked that is hand carved and what is done by the CNC.
